지알원(GR1)은 작가가 청소년이었던 2000년부터 거리에서 활동을 시작한 한국의 대표적인 거리 예술가이다. 다채로운 색상, 대담한 글씨체의 와일드 스타일(wild style)과 흑백의 직관적 메세지를 담은 스트릿 아트 작업을 특징으로 하고 있다. 하위문화에 대한 이야기와 긍정적인 메시지, 사회적 문제를 주제로 거리예술 뿐만 아니라 회화, 조각, 설치, 영상 등 다양한 매체를 활용하여 작업한다. 다양한 전시와 여러 브랜드와의 협업을 통해 그래피티의 대중화에 기여하며, 젊은 아티스트들에게 영감을 주고 현대 미술의 중요한 한 축을 이루는 인물로, GR1이라는 이름은 'Graffiti'와 'One'의 결합으로 작가의 그래피티 작품의 유일성과 독창성을 강조한다. 지알원은 동아시아의 여러 도시의 거리에서 활동을 펼쳤왔고, 그의 예술적 열정과 사회적 메시지를 통해 그래피티가 단순한 낙서가 아닌 중요한 예술 형식임을 보여주고 있다.
